BREAKING NEWS!  The End of the Blues

We have just been informed that because David Geren has left CineMag the Models 1131 and 3440AH (yes, the BLUE Logo) will no longer be produced.  This is extremely unfortunate as we believe these to be the best sounding step up transformers available today. Used with the right phono cartridge, like The Miyajima Lab's range of cross coil phono cartridges, the sound was nothing short of startling with the Bob’s Devices 1131, with perfect synergy at all frequencies. Many other great cartridges also benefited from this amazing design, including many from Koetsu, Lyra, Benz, Shelter, Denon and Ortofon, to name a few.

Lucky for a few audiophiles who heard the underground rumblings in the last few months, they already own either the stereo or mono Bob’s Devices Step Up Devices, produced using these extraordinary CineMag 1131 transformers.

Just before the design team change at CineMag we were able to obtain all the remaining BLUE transformers, but it is a very small supply. When the Blues are gone – they are gone. With expected major audio reviews on the horizon, we will not have the Blues much longer.

Bob’s Devices regrets that it cannot offer the CineMag transformers as a standard product for sale much longer.  There are a few left that are currently built and tested.  They will be taken off the website when the last one is sold.  However, on a one by one request basis to either our direct customers, or through our dealers, we will custom make either Stereo or Mono step ups (or even mono block stereo versions) using the remaining transformers, until the stock runs out.  Since David Geren is no longer with CineMag, Bob does not feel comfortable with purchasing any new transformers from CineMag.

David Geren, CineMag’s designer who worked with Bob to create the BLUE line, is starting his own company called AudioTran.  Bob is currently working with him to create a new line of transformers.

Not to belabor the point, but the best modern made SUT is no longer available. Get yours while you can. As they say "once they are gone, they are gone!"
